We’re currently looking for a babysitter in Londonderry, NH (03053).
A lovely family in Londonderry is seeking a compassionate and experienced babysitter to care for their children, ages 9, 5, and 2, during date nights and weekend outings. Their 9-year-old daughter loves dressing up, getting her nails done, and going to the playground. Her younger brothers enjoy getting outside as well. Their 9-year-old has special needs, so they’re looking for someone who can provide not just supervision, but also emotional support and understanding.
An ideal candidate is someone who can create a nurturing environment that fosters both fun & comfort for the children. A strong background in childcare, particularly with special needs experience, is preferred. We hope to find someone who can build a trusting, long-term relationship with the family.
- Schedule: Occasionally - Once or twice a month
- Start date: ASAP
- End date: Long term
- Rate: $18-$20/hr
- 3 children: 9, 5 & 2 years old
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care, supervision and a fun, calm & structured environment
- Engage in age-appropriate activities that encourage development and emotional well-being.
- Implement behavioral strategies and techniques as discussed with the family.
- Administer medication if required (training will be provided).
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment.
- Driving is not required, but if the provider is comfortable & interested in taking the children or the daughter out of the house for a fun local trip, the family is open to that.
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of paid, professional childcare experience
- CPR certification or willing to become certified
- Experience working with children with specific needs & non-verbal communication
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with the family.
- Reliable transportation
- Must be comfortable with the family’s friendly pet (small, senior dog; no care needed except for letting in/out if necessary)
Compensation + Benefits
Position pays $18-$20 per hour and the family is looking for occasional backup care, as needed or scheduled in advance.
- Open to discuss a consistent schedule - once or twice a month.
