Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal representation to clients during bankruptcy proceedings, including both individuals and businesses.
- Draft and negotiate corporate and restructuring transactions to protect client interests.
- Advise clients on the legal aspects of bankruptcy, including the filing process, types of bankruptcy, and the potential implications of each.
- Represent both debtors and creditors, ensuring their rights and interests are protected throughout the bankruptcy process.
- Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to inform case strategy.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
- Present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in bankruptcy litigation.
- Work collaboratively with our legal team to develop effective strategies and arguments in preparation for court appearances.
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Texas Bar.
- 2-5 years of experience as a bankruptcy attorney.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating corporate and restructuring transactions.
- Demonstrated ability to represent both debtors and creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex legal arguments.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes favorably for clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
