Are you passionate about the legal industry with a specific interest in bankruptcy and corporate restructuring law? Do you have a keen eye for detail and excellent research skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as a Bankruptcy Docketing Specialist. In this role, you will be a valued member of our legal team, playing a vital role in our bankruptcy proceedings. This position offers the opportunity to utilize your legal research skills, collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other members of the legal team, and make a significant impact on our clients' lives.
Responsibilities:
As a Bankruptcy Docketing Specialist, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Managing and maintaining our bankruptcy docket system, ensuring all deadlines and critical dates are accurately recorded and tracked, utilizing the firm's docketing software.
2. Conducting comprehensive legal research related to bankruptcy proceedings, staying abreast of changes in bankruptcy laws and regulations.
3. Collaborating with attorneys and paralegals to prepare for bankruptcy hearings, ensuring all required documents are accurately prepared and filed in a timely manner.
4. Reviewing and analyzing bankruptcy notices, pleadings, and other related documents.
5. Coordinating with various departments and teams to ensure smooth operation of the bankruptcy process.
6. Providing exceptional customer service to our clients, answering their questions, and addressing their concerns regarding the bankruptcy process.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Bankruptcy Docketing Specialist position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal setting, preferably with a focus on bankruptcy law.
2. Proven experience in legal research, with the ability to analyze complex legal documents and extract relevant information.
3. Proficient in using legal research tools and software.
4. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
6. Proficiency in using docketing software and other relevant legal technologies.
7. A bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field is preferred.
8. Paralegal certification or equivalent professional legal certification is a plus.
