Accountable To: Director of Special Events/Captains
Status: Non-Exempt, Part Time
Rate: $20.32 p/hour (Employer est.)
Primary Objective:
Contribute to customer satisfaction by setting up and breaking down banquet events. Cleans carpet, event space and walls on a daily basis.
Areas of Accountability:
- Meets and exceeds customer and co-workers expectations by providing excellent service and teamwork.
- Provides value added service to customers by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed
- Handles difficult situations effectively.
- Sets up function rooms according to event orders and directions from supervisor.
- Maintains general upkeep of function rooms and related public areas.
- Ensures that floors, walls, and equipment are clean in function rooms.
- Removes debris from public areas.
- Stores all banquet furniture and equipment following conclusion of banquet.
- Maintains properly all Banquet Department equipment, storage and work areas.
- Reports any equipment in need of repair or replacement to supervisor or Engineering Department in a timely manner.
- Provides safe environment for customers by recognizing any possible hazards and intervening accordingly.
- Understands department fire procedures, keeps fire exits and lanes free from equipment and debris.
- Keeps supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters of significance.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Attends work as scheduled.
- Follows hotel’s dress and grooming standards.
- Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
- At all times, projects a favorable image of Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel to the public.
- Pushing/Pulling: Average weight 60lbs constantly
- Lifting/Carrying: Average weight 60lbs constantly
- Standing/Walking: Constantly. Standing/walking the majority of scheduled shift
- Kneeling/Crawling: Constantly. Completing tasks throughout the hotel
