Job Description
As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily and long-term objectives of our extensive beverage program. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Director, you will play a key role in driving the vision and culture of our Food & Beverage department. Your leadership and vision will drive outstanding operating results and ensure that our venue is not only a preferred dining destination but also an engaging place to work.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, select, orient, train, and coach associates
- Plan and review compensation actions
- Contribute to strategic plans and reviews
- Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards
- Ensure portion control and accuracy of changes
- Maintain beverage inventory and promote consistency across all properties
- Establish and enforce sanitation standards and procedures
- Update job knowledge through educational opportunities
- Respond to guest needs, inquiries, comments, and problems
- Conform to regulations of the alcoholic beverage commission
- Forecast requirements and analyze variances
- Create and promote seasonal cocktail designs
- Ensure proper closure and security of bars, liquor closet, and beer coolers
Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent
- Prior experience in a leadership role in the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of beverage operations and trends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a diverse team and drive results
