Responsibilities:Barporters provide attentive service to each guest by providing an environment that is clean and well stocked at all times. Maintains established bar par levels by carrying cases of beverages from walk-in coolers to bar and stocking them where appropriate. Maintain supply of ice, glassware, drink garnishes, etc. for bars. Maintains cleanliness of bar areas and equipment. #zipcorporate
Qualifications:Essential Job Functions:
- Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Bristol their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
- Provides customers with accurate information about the venue and property.
- Buffs, polishes and washes or cleans glassware to maintain a stock of glassware that is ready for service at all times.
- Works to anticipate the needs of the Bartender at all times, assisting them however necessary.
- Works with a sense of urgency to anticipate customer needs and assist other team members when the opportunity arises.
- Communicates with management, and service team immediately to rectify any and all customer needs and requests or incidents.
- Removes all trash from bar area, following venue protocol for storage, handling and transportation of waste materials.
- Adheres to all established policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Complies with all state and federal liquor laws.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a high volume, service focused environment.
- Must exhibit a focused attention to detail, while working in a high-pressure environment.
- Must be able to maintain excellent customer service skills while maintaining high service standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment as outlined by Health Standards.
- Must be fluent in the English language, both written and oral, multilingual skills are a plus.
- Must be self-motivated, constantly striving to improve skills and knowledge.
- Must have strong knowledge of spirits, wines, champagne and mixed cocktails.
- Must have valid Food Handlers Card, Liquor License, and Gaming Badge when working.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc):
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery.
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Must successfully pass drug screening.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
- Must have good communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills, including a positive, friendly, and outgoing attitude, common courtesy towards others and the ability to deal successfully with stressful situations.
ABILITY TO:
- Must be able to stand 50% of shift, walk 45% of shift, and sit 5% of shift.
- Must have the ability to withstand noisy and smoke-filled environments.
- Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with arms and hands.
- Must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
