Arcosa Marine Products is searching for a Barge Sales Manager, located in Madisonville, LA or Ashland City, TN. Reporting to the VP of Sales, in this position you will provide Sales and Customer Service to our existing customer base, identify sales leads and market the company’s services at industry events. You will work with our customers and internal teams in Engineering, Supply Chain and Estimating to develop product specifications and pricing for new barge construction and support the customers through the construction and delivery of our finished products.
Arcosa Marine Products, a leading manufacturer of inland barges, manufactures dry cargo barges, including flat-deck and hopper barges, that are used to transport a variety of products including grain, coal, and aggregates. Arcosa Marine Products also manufactures tank barges that carry petroleum, fertilizer, ethanol, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes. It is the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers used primarily on grain barges. Additionally, Arcosa Marine Products provides a full line of deck hardware to the marine industry, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities.
What You’ll Do:
• Work with the Marine leadership team to achieve sales targets and goals
• Make sales visits to customer locations
• Execute sales plan to deliver the results needed to achieve sales volume targets
• Work with the Contract Administrator to ensure customer contracts are properly managed throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Coordinate sales activity with Estimating, Plant Managers and Engineering
• Participate in Industry, Regional, and National organizations as directed to complement marketing efforts
What You’ll Need:
• Minimum of five years of technical sales and marketing or sales management experience; or equivalent in education, training and work history required
• Candidate should have a broad knowledge of the Marine Industry, focus on Barge is a plus
• General business knowledge plus an understanding of the marine industry
• Knowledge of construction and repair processes
• Ability to analyze and compare technical data and specifications
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills required
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Skilled in Target Account Conversion
• Knowledge of market conditions and competition
• Travel without restrictions
