Constant Grind - Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Barista is responsible for running a register, gathering accurate orders, maintaining restaurant cleanliness, stocking and preparing product, and providing superior guest service.
This positions pays $16/hour.
Responsibilities:Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Promotes positive guest/team member relations by answering questions, gathering food orders with accuracy, and creating genuine guest experiences.
- Satisfying any/all needs of the guests- including directing guests to restrooms or other areas
- Prepare and serve menu items-including beverages- in accordance with established standards set by restaurant management
- Accurately handling cash & other forms of payment using a point-of-sale system
- Maintaining proper cash drawer balances.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area- including but not limited to cleaning tables, emptying trash cans, cleaning and sanitizing operating equipment and surfaces
- Performing opening, closing & side duties – setting up/breaking down display cases, cleaning glass/countertops, packaging products, etc.
- Assisting and communicating with peers, leadership and support staff
- Ensures that storage and prep areas are maintained in accordance with city and state health department codes
- Properly checking I.D.s for responsible gaming and alcohol service
- Having a sense of urgency
- Minimum six (6) months of guest service experience required
- Ability to work a varied work schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to read and understand all Seminole Tribe of Florida policies and procedures- including the ability to complete Seminole Tribe of Florida forms and reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests in English specific to role responsibilities
- Be team-oriented and enjoy working with people.
- Ability to exercise judgment on an independent basis.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.
- Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders.
- Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to performing duties which require bending & reaching.
Work Environment:
- Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a restaurant in a fast-paced environment, with constant exposure to general public and excessive noise. Also, there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
