Position Description:
The Bower Lodge Restaurant Barista is responsible for assuring the café is set up for success every morning and is deep cleaned and maintained to a high professional standard. The Bower Lodge Barista is expected to make sure all café stations are organized and deep cleaned for every shift. The barista is expected to greet all guests with quality customer service and be knowledgeable of all restaurant operations in order to properly inform guests. This is the first point-of-contact for customers, so it is important the barista is well-versed in the restaurant and customer service. This position is not limited to just making coffee, but dishwashing, cleaning floors, cleaning bathrooms, polishing barista equipment, etc. The Bower Lodge Barista will take direction from Lead Barista, Assistant Managers, and Restaurant Manager.
Performance Expectations:- Open Bower Lodge and set up cafe
- Welcome guests and assist guests with a friendly smile while adhering to our guest
- guidelines.
- Creating exceptional coffee drinks based off our menus
- Making sure all coffee and food products are fresh for service
- Deep clean espresso machine and coffee machine daily
- Maintain the cleanliness of the spaces by routinely sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing, as well as dishwashing
- Rolling and polishing silverware
- Serving and expediting dishes to the guest.
- Set up cleaning stations in the kitchen, bus tables and dishwashing
- Assist in cashiering/taking payments from guests. Understanding/training of our POS
- system.
- Must have basic computer knowledge.
- Assist with overall inventory of beverages and snacks
- Adhere to all opening, closing, and side task lists
- Keep organized!
- Maintaining and stocking bathrooms as needed
- Must adhere to dress-code and wear proper uniform and footwear during shift duties
- Must adhere to our uniform standards and the county’s Health Code standards
- Additional duties as directed by Resort Restaurant Manager & Assistant Restaurant Manger
- Adhere to Bower Lodge’s Policy and Procedures
- Clean, tidy appearance and excellent hygiene
- Team player!
- Very punctual. Early mornings and weekends required.
Position Requirements:
- Current Utah Food Handlers Permit
- Current Sips + Tips permit if 21+
- Barista/hosting experience preferred
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable Transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to continually bend, kneel, and reach
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8+ hours)
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds consistently
Work Environment: Generally, in an indoor setting with occasional exposure to outdoor environment. While performing duties of this job, the employee will be frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions or cold weather. Working in a potential slippery environment.
