Position Summary:

As a Barista at ORMC, you will be the heart of our coffee shop, crafting espresso-based beverages and a variety of coffee drinks. Your role will involve engaging with customers and creating high-quality coffee experiences that promote coffee enjoyment.

Education/Training:

• Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
• Effective oral communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships.

Licensure/Certification:

• None required.

Experience:

• 180 days of previous cash handling experience required.

Essential Functions:

• Greet customers warmly as they approach the barista bar while maintaining a clean, sanitary environment.
• Pay attention to the quality and presentation of coffee beverages.
• Maintain efficient customer flow and provide excellent customer service by identifying specific ingredients needed for each customer’s drink choice.
• Contribute positively to the team environment, demonstrate composure, and thrive in both routine and high-pressure situations to deliver a unique coffee experience.
• Prepare food items and grab-and-go options as ordered by customers.
• Maintain, clean, and service all coffee-related equipment and tools according to sanitation procedures; report any needed repairs to the supervisor or manager.
• Efficiently operate registers or computerized order entry systems in the shop.
