Job Description
Barista responsibilities include educating customers on Café Elite food and beverage menus, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and the aptitude to understand how brewing equipment operates. You should also be able to work various shifts.
Ultimately, you'll ensure an excellent and elite experience for our guests.
Essential Functions
• Greeting customers with a friendly demeanor
• Sharing updates on food and beverage menus and answering customer questions about ingredients.
• Taking orders with attention to detail, including preferences for coffee blend, dairy, and sugar ratios.
• Performing day-to-day operations of the coffee stand, including food and beverage preparation and proper use of coffee equipment, and reporting any maintenance needs.
• Keeping the bar area clean and maintaining quality control of products.
• Complying with health and safety regulations.
• Handling cash and operating a POS system.
• Recording timecard accurately, including breaks.
• Tracking supplies and reporting shortages.
• Completing financial reporting per shift.
• Working independently or with others to deliver quality and consistency to customers.
• Resolving customer challenges with excellent customer service.
• Building friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and ensure outstanding experience.
• Increasing sales and customer count through meeting Café Elite performance objectives.
• Communicating regularly with the stand manager and providing feedback on customer preferences and recommendations for new menu items.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures as stated in the Employee Handbook
Other Functions
• Attending meetings at the corporate office as required.
• Developing content for social media and training when requested.
• Actively participating in recruiting talent for the team.
• Collaborating respectfully with co-workers and management across company platforms.
• Setting and meeting performance goals and objectives.

• Ability to work on your feet and stand for extended periods of time.
• Excellent communication skills with confidence, transparency, and integrity.
• Strong multitasking skills, including the ability to prioritize timely assignments.

• Ability to listen and follow instructions and take critical feedback, as necessary.
• Basic computer skills and aptitude for leveraging technology in the workplace.
• High school diploma or GED.

Payrate
$15.74 / Hour
The total compensation for this position includes an hourly rate as well as tips received from customers.
