POSITION STATUS/FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time or Part-Time, Nonexempt
POSITION SUMMARY: The bartender is responsible for making, mixing, pouring and/or creating alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for the guests of the bar and restaurant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions to guests as necessary
· Take guest drink (and sometimes food) orders from guests seated at the bar or from servers
· Input orders into the POS system
· Prepare guests drinks as ordered
· Slice fruit for garnishing drinks
· Clean bar and arrange glasses for an attractive bar display
· Prepare bill and accept payment or refer guest to the appropriate cashier
· Clear or reset bar after each guest leaves
· Thank guests and kindly invite them back for a future drinking/dining experience
· Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
· Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workers
· Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture
· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
· Valid certification for serving alcohol
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
· Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours per day
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
· Will frequently reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, fine manipulation throughout the shift.
· Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors
· Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from restaurant machinery, music, and customers
· Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, and seafood
UNIFORM:
· Employees are expected to present themselves in a neat, clean, professional manner. This includes wearing a clean uniform, good personal hygiene, clean well-trimmed nails, and no gum chewing while on duty.
