Bartender - DeRomo's Gourmet Market

DeRomo's Gourmet Market & Restaurant is a popular, busy, authentic Italian marketplace in Bonita Springs. We are currently seeking a Bartender to join our dynamic Food & Beverage team. Bartenders are in charge of managing drink orders at a restaurant to keep customers satisfied during meals or social gatherings. Bartenders have extensive knowledge of common drinks which they use to recommend drinks to customers, prepare cocktails, pour beers and properly decant wines

Essential Functions:

• Welcome guests.
• Ensure that customers are of legal drinking age.
• Prepare a requested drink to their specifications.
• Mix traditional and creative cocktails.
• Stock bar including ice, glasses and inventory, in the absence of a bar back or busser.
• Assist guest with food service at bar counter or bar table area.
• Make recommendations based on customer tastes and preferences.
• Process payment from customers.
• Record and balance cash receipts.
• Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere.
• Position requires an in-depth knowledge of wine and cocktails.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Restaurant experience preferred
• Demonstrate ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification card
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
• Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness
• Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness
• Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol
• Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments
