Summary of Position:
Under the direction of the FOH management team, Bartenders provide exceptional and knowledgeable service to guests, while also mixing cocktails and pouring beer and wine for restaurant guests. They practice a high level of bar awareness and have exceptional knowledge of all food and beverage products. Bartenders are required to learn and master the cocktail recipes and build every cocktail on our menu to specifications. You will be responsible for preparing and serving consistent drinks while guiding the guest through their dining experience.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Display exceptional menu knowledge and ability to answer guest questions regarding ingredients and dietary restrictions.
- Display exceptional knowledge of wine by the glass, bottled beer, and draft beer selections.
- Read incoming drink tickets, and correctly pour beer and wine if needed.
- Inspect lounge tables and bar seats for proper mise en place, cleanliness, and completeness
- Maintain cleanliness and stock product in the bar throughout the shift.
- Stock bottled beer, wine, and liquor throughout their shift as needed, and restock at the end of service.
- Work as a team with other bartenders and the barback, and assist them with any other tasks.
- Have knowledge of the history & concept of the restaurant & sister restaurants and be able to confidently guide guests to sister restaurants as the opportunity arises.
- Complete all opening and closing tasks as assigned in checklists.
- Assist support staff when not needed behind the bar.
- Efficiently and correctly mix cocktails and pour beer and wine for guests and service staff.
- Correctly set up and break down the bar, and ensure that the next bartender is set for success
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to comprehend, read, and follow written and verbal direction and communicate clearly
- Must have drive and take initiative
- Direct experience collecting payments and operating a POS system
- High level of product knowledge
- Must have a high level of integrity and eye for detail
- Skilled in monitoring and maintaining an inventory of supplies
- Must be able to work well with and direct others as a team
- Have the ability to cross-train as a server
- Must be able to work well/excel under pressure in a high-volume restaurant.

Education and Experience:
- Valid California ServSafe Certification & RBS Certification
- Valid California Sexual Harassment Prevention Certificate
- Must have a strong palette, be able to taste batches, syrups, juices with a critical eye, and note changes in the consistency or quality of product at the bar
- Must have at least 4 years bartending experience or proven experience of any combination thereof
- Must have strong bar product knowledge and understanding of how to craft a cocktail
- Can produce hand-crafted cocktails that are shaken, stirred, and built
Physical Requirements:
- High level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods (be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 8 hours)
- Must be able to occasionally lift, balance, reach, push, and move liquor/wine cases and kegs weighing up to 45 pounds
- Must be able to perform in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment with attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
