Chemical Lab Technician
We are pleased to recruit for a company whose corporate purpose is to create chemistry for a sustainable future and has been doing so for 150 years. Their portfolio ranges from chemicals, plastics, performance products and crop protection products to oil and gas. Their products and solutions contribute to conserving resources, ensuring nutrition and improving quality of life. Our client is expanding and seeking a Chemical Lab Technician in Southfield, MI.
Responsibilities:

• Chemistry lab technicians assist chemists in their lab work.
• Responsible for monitoring chemical processes and testing products as part of quality assurance.
• Under the supervision of chemists and other team members, they perform repetitive lab activities, such as setting up lab equipment and preparing chemical solutions.
• Conduct tests, interpret and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present their conclusions.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in wet chemistry laboratory.
• Must have college degree or working in automotive coatings.
• Automotive paint & color preferred but not required.
• Experience with spray application preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work flexible shift schedule, including days, afternoons & weekend shifts occasionally.
• Experience in an Industrial laboratories preferred.
• Experience in coatings industry preferred
• Required to lift up to 50lbs on an occasional basis.
• Must have lab experiences.

• Experience with PPAP process and knowledge of OEM Automotive Specifications and test methods preferred.
• Prior automotive paint experience is preferred.

Must have a valid driver's license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.

Education: Bachelors degree in Chemistry

Pay Rate: The pay range for this position is $27.00 28.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
Work Schedule: Days 8:00a-5:00p Mon-Fri
