Battle Simulation Center (BSC) Lead, JRTC - Yorktown Systems Group
Fort Polk, LA 71459
About the Job
Summary:
Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. is seeking a qualified Battle Simulations Center (BSC) Lead to provide professional services and mission support to the U.S. Army Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) located at Fort Polk, Louisiana. Mission Support services for the JRTC, one of the US Army's Combat Training Centers, entails providing realistic, graduate-level collective training experience at the Brigade Combat Team (BCT) level with the primary objective of training light infantry, airborne, air assault, rangers and other special operations units. Historically, the JRTC has hosted rotational exercises for US Army motorized and mechanized formations, as well as select units from the US Marine Corp, US Navy or US Air Force.
The JRTC typically hosts ten standard rotational exercises each Fiscal Year (FY). Typical standard rotational exercises are designed based on a 14 calendar day training period with 18 calendar days of Live Fires typically starting prior to Force on Force (FOF) and running concurrently during the fourteen (14) training days. The standard training exercise is scripted and typically based on any combination of offense, defense, and stability operations. Standard rotations take place in a generic region with scenarios and Opposing Forces (OPFOR) threats based on the Decisive Action Training Environment (DATE). Rotational Training Unit (RTU) missions conducted during standard rotations are generally in direct alignment to the RTU’s standard Mission Essential Task List (METL) and training objectives.
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
Provide support for the integration of the Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) training domains to simulate the scenario, implement the RTU decisions and provide responsive feedback with subsequent impacts to enable the unit to develop and refine the use of its capabilities and procedures in the execution of mission command.
Support rotations at the JRTC by providing a LVC interface and appropriate Simulations and Stimulations (SIMS/STIMS) that support the Situational Training Exercise (STX), the CPX and the Force-on-Force (FOF) Exercise for rotations. These activities enhance the training by simulating the larger operations in which this event is occurring inside the AO, adds capabilities to the box that would otherwise be unavailable to the RTU and OPFOR due to operational costs and competing requirements for limited assets, and stimulation for unit assets currently positioned in the box in order to effect better training for the rotational soldiers.
Submit a battle simulation summary on the 8th of every month for the preceding month.
