Job Description Summary:
A BCBA Program Supervisor is an advanced clinician who oversees treatment planning primarily for children with autism whose contracts are funded by medical insurance. In addition to medical insurance cases, the BCBA Program Supervisor also carries a caseload that may include school district students and clients enrolled in the Coyne Infant Development Program. In order to achieve best outcomes for children and their families, the BCBA Program Supervisor administers behavioral and standardized assessments, implements individualized goals, monitors child progress with skill acquisition and behavior management programs, and coaches caregivers to become successful teaching partners. The BCBA Program Supervisor provides clinical oversight to ABA Program Supervisors on tiered medical insurance cases, as well as ongoing support and mentorship to Early Childhood Instructors (ECIs) in the delivery of 1:1 ABA-based intervention. The BCBA Program Supervisor reports to and is under the direction of the Regional Director and the Regional Clinical Director.
Responsibilities:
Serves as the primary point of contact for all children on their caseload by coordinating clinical and service delivery information with caregivers and funders.
Travels to homes (or to community/daycare settings) to provide an appropriate ratio of supervision to children’s programs.
Collaborates within a three-tiered service delivery model for medical insurance cases by providing clinical direction to ABA Program Supervisor colleagues.
Maintains up-to-date lesson plans, monitors progress by reviewing and analyzing session data as required, makes timely adjustments to programs, supplies necessary instructional materials, and organizes and maintains each child’s skill book.
Provides caregiver training and assists parents with the design and implementation of programs in the home setting.
Completes standardized assessments and Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), and develops individualized goals for treatment plans.
Writes reports that summarize children’s progress with their treatment plan goals, proposes new goals as needed, and recommends an appropriate service level intensity for contract reauthorizations.
Effectively coaches and supports ECIs during each field overlap. Contributes to the professional development of ECI-level staff by using Behavioral Skills Training to support the acquisition of new skills and engages in meaningful interactions with ECIs to facilitate the performance of prescribed clinical strategies.
May be assigned to provide supervised fieldwork to BCBAs-in-training in accordance with the BACB Experience Standards.
Supervises Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).
May assist in the development of a student’s Individual Education Program (IEP), attend IEP meetings, and participate in other duties as assigned as related to a child’s school program.
Schedules administrative time efficiently and productively with respect to clinical meetings, office visits, and assigned administrative duties.
Assists the Regional Director in maintaining current and accurate authorizations for assigned cases.
Understands and follows service provision guidelines for all contracts.
Works accurately and independently to meet deadlines for submitting required documentation, including consent forms, intake paperwork, sign-in sheets, progress reports, skill books, etc.
Provides direct 1:1 instruction to children as assigned based on the needs of the company and the children’s program. This duty can be a regular and necessary part of the BCBA Program Supervisor’s responsibilities.
Schedules administrative time efficiently and productively with respect to clinical meetings, office visits, and assigned administrative responsibilities.
Other Supervisor duties as assigned. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Schedule:
The BCBA Program Supervisor role offers a hybrid work environment. Administrative duties are primarily managed remotely, and supervision visits may be conducted either in-person or remotely based on clinical appropriateness. Monthly supervisor meetings, lasting 2.5 hours, may be remote or require in-person attendance. The BCBA Program Supervisor manages their schedule to complete their job duties within the Company’s operating hours. To ensure effective communication and responsiveness to clinical, personnel, safety, and other matters, the employee should be able to respond to emails/calls/texts/field and office visit requests within 24 hours unless prior arrangements have been made.

Qualifications:
Current certification by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB) as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing is required.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory-level position with C&A or another ABA Program that serves children with autism or other developmental delays is preferred.
Completes the competency based-training covering the BACB’s Supervisor Training Curriculum Outline; completes 3 hours of continuing education related to supervision during each certification cycle.
Demonstrates ability to work well with others, supervise staff, and communicate well with others.
Demonstrates ability to work independently in meeting deadlines, organizing time, and completing assignments to a high degree of accuracy. These are essential skills since the individual must work in the field with minimum oversight from supervisors.
Must be able to efficiently monitor direct and indirect billable hours and maintain pre-established fieldwork productivity targets. Must accurately and independently enter billable hours into the database according to consumer contracts and company policies.
Demonstrates technical writing skills and ability to write reports to the standards of Company contracts.
Demonstrates excellent leadership skills and professional conduct.
Additional Requirements:
Submits a transcript showing a Master’s degree.
The work of an ABA Program Supervisor is physically demanding. You must be in good health and be able to lift 30 pounds. A two-hour intervention session requires frequent movements including bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling.
Must be available to respond to and address clinical, personnel, safety and other matters as they arise from time to time in the Region or as otherwise assigned.
Must be willing to submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice and FBI, to demonstrate clearance for work with children.
Must be insurable by the Company’s liability insurance provider as demonstrated by a current Motor Vehicle Report, current California driver’s license and car insurance in the individual’s name. These records may be subject to review by insurance representatives since the individual drives for the company on a daily basis.
Maintains a current Tuberculosis (TB) clearance and Basic Life Support (BLS) Training.
Is familiar with HIPAA and performs duties following HIPAA regulations.
