Legacy Oaks of Sacramento Assisted Living Facility is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Support Specialist to join our growing team! ✨Key Responsibilities:

• Daily Care & Assistance: Help residents with activities of daily living, promoting independence while offering essential support.
• Behavioral Support: Provide emotional care and address behavioral health needs, utilizing appropriate strategies to manage difficult situations.
• Safety & Crisis Intervention: Monitor resident behavior and intervene in crises when necessary, ensuring the safety of all residents.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care, behavior observations, and interventions.
• Supportive Services: Work closely with the team to ensure residents' needs are met, coordinating with healthcare professionals and families when necessary.
• Team Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings, and collaborate with caregivers, nurses, and leadership to provide the highest level of care.

✨ Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience as a caregiver
• 1-3 years of experience working with individuals in behavioral health settings
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, understanding, and supportive demeanor
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage crises effectively
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Tuberculosis (TB) certificate as required by the state
• Fingerprint clearance and Criminal Background Check required
• Must be at least 18 years of age or meet the state's minimum age requirement

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
• Ability to quickly respond to emergencies and unexpected situations
• A team player with a passion for providing exceptional care
