EdLogical offers top-notch service provision to those students who receive special education services and supports. For the past 11 years, we have assisted charter schools and school districts in navigating the complexities of Special Education. We have done this by providing high-quality, experienced, and knowledgeable special educators. All EdLogical team members are professional educators or practicing clinicians with a comprehensive understanding of the programmatic, administrative, and fiscal issues of program development and service delivery.
Purpose of the Position: Under general supervision and direction of the classroom teacher(s), to assist in the supervision and intensified learning instruction of kindergarten students in assigned areas of study and to perform classroom clerical tasks in support of the instructional process.

Overtime Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Assists teachers in providing instructional and behavioral support to a specialized caseload of students with disabilities:

The BII monitors and redirects students regarding inappropriate behaviors; positively reinforces appropriate behaviors; enforces and monitors the Behavior Support Plan of identified students with IEPs; complies with the frequency of Behavior Intervention Implementation (BII) services assigned to student per their IEP; performs a variety of specialized tasks to meet the instructional, behavioral and social needs of assigned caseload of students with disabilities; administers Intensive Behavior Intervention methods in regard to the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) model, to identified students within our Inclusive Education program; performs a variety of clerical duties as assigned.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports instruction to individuals or small groups of students with special needs as assigned

Monitors student conduct and utilizes approved behavior management techniques to redirect and modify inappropriate behaviors

Administers one-on-one ABA-based Intensive Behavior Intervention methods to designated students in a school setting as directed by supervisor (BCBA)

Implements documented Behavior Support Plans

Monitors, observes and reports behavioral data of students according to approved procedures

Assists students by providing appropriate modeling, emotional support, a friendly attitude, and general guidance

Conducts record review of student data (Cumulative file, Individualized Education Programs, Behavior Support Plans, Functional Behavioral Analysis Assessment, Psycho-educational Assessments)

Communicates with teachers, parents, and assigned staff regarding student progress

Assists students in learning proper social awareness and in developing independence

Communicates students' needs to the teacher

Assist teacher in supervision of assigned students in physical and instructional activities
Ability to:
- Assume responsibility for supervising students
- Learn and utilize basic methods and procedures to be followed in instructional settings
- Perform routine clerical work and basic arithmetical calculations
- Demonstrate an understanding, patient, warm and receptive attitude toward young children
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Show appropriate judgment and take initiative in problem solving
- Maintain confidentiality
- Handle more than one task at a time
- High School Diploma
- Experience working in a school or treatment setting for students with learning, social, emotional, or mental disabilities.
- DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance
- Pro-Act, CPI, and/or CPR certification helpful

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes
