If so, we invite you to join our team as a Behavioral Aide in Mississippi. This is a PRN (as-needed) position, offering flexibility in scheduling, weekly pay, and a competitive hourly rate of $25/hr.
The Vital Role of a Behavioral Aide
Behavioral Aides play a crucial role in the healthcare landscape, particularly when it comes to assisting individuals with varying degrees of mental illnesses and developmental disabilities. As a Behavioral Aide, you will be on the front lines, serving as the primary observer, caregiver, and advocate for the children in your care. Your responsibilities will include executing directives from the Department of Human Resources (DHR), acting as the eyes and ears of DHR in monitoring the well-being of our clients.
Your duties will involve assisting clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and maintaining cleanliness in living areas. You will also be responsible for observing and documenting behavior patterns, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the medical staff. Additionally, you will engage clients in various educational, recreational, and therapeutic activities, helping to create a safe, supportive, and effective environment for their growth and development.

Requirements for Success
To excel as a Behavioral Aide, you must have a minimum of one year of related experience in caregiving or an educational environment, such as hospitals, schools, daycares, special education, or autism care. Certification or eligibility for certification in crisis management and CPR/First Aid within the first 30 days of employment is required. CDI certification is a must for this role.
