Responsibilities:The Behavioral Health Administrative Support Representative II position is the first point of customer service contact for clients families and clinic visitors. The Behavioral Health Administrative Support Representative interfaces with clients to perform all functions related to the arrival of clients including advising on appointment schedule status the collection and updating of demographic/insurance information the verification of eligibilityaccurately collecting copayment and the complete and accurate taking of messages for provider staffs/office staff. The Behavioral Health Administrative Support Representative is the custodian of client charts and has the responsibility of preparing maintaining filing protecting retrieving and archiving as needed. The Behavioral Health Administrative Support Representative also performs a variety of other clerical duties including data input filing and other office-related duties. All duties are performed with special regard for the sensitive nature of care delivered to clients seeking mental health care. This position may have access to third party credit card information and transactional systems (cash registers point of sale devices applications supporting credit card transactions and reports or other documents containing credit card information) from single transactions or a single card at a time.
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
- Some Medical Office experience in a front office setting.
- Demonstrated experience working in a setting that requires multi-tasking skills.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal organizational and customer service skills are essential. Keyboarding skills and the ability to utilize computer equipment and software are required as is experience with other types of standard office equipment. Knowledge of organization's computer systems must be acquired within the first three weeks of employment. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse clientele. Ability to multi-task effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 or more years of experience in medical office setting mental health setting desirable.
- Experience with multi-line phones/ACD phones preferred.
- Medical terminology preferred.
- Customer service training preferred.
