Milestone Centers, a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., is a nonprofit, community-based human services agency supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges and intellectual & developmental disabilities in communities throughout Western Pennsylvania. Our Agency oversees 20 residential settings, two outpatient offices, three adult training facilities, a prevocational enterprise program, a consumer drop-in center, habilitation services, and two Health Care Quality Units in Butler and Warren, which train professionals in 18 counties. Milestone Centers has earned certification from the Sanctuary Institute for providing trauma-informed care.
Responsibilities:The Resident Advisor will be responsible for providing direct care to adult consumers/clients and assist with activities of daily living (ADL) that produce individual outcomes. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide training and direct assistance to consumers in the development of daily living skills (ADLs)
- Provide a therapeutic environment enabling the individual to attain a maximum level of independence
- Communicate with supervisor, coworkers, and all essential personnel to facilitate the continuum of quality care for each individual
- Complete all assigned paperwork with accuracy and within the appropriate period
- Monitor and document the medication intake of consumers and teach the process of obtaining refills and new prescriptions from providers in a timely manner
- Facilitate communication and linkage with other support services with the Agency and in the community
- Aid residents in the utilization of the community transport system and in the use of public transportation
- Assist with the organization of CRR social events and holiday activities
- Handle crisis situations in accordance with regulations and immediately report any emergencies, unusual incidents, and/or unusual consumer behaviors to the Program Supervisor
- Responsible for identifying safety issues and maintenance needs within the facility and initiating the necessary action to minimize injury to people or damage to property
- Promote appropriate socialization with consumers by advising and modeling
- Transport consumers or run errands in Agency vehicles
WAGES
$15/ hour
