The Site supervisor has overall operational responsibility for Behavioral Health facilities and programs as assigned. The Site Supervisor will provide leadership to the planning process and will implement new programmatic initiatives. In addition, the Site Supervisor will provide coordination of programs within the facilities to assure a safe, comfortable and professional environment exists for the provision of various clinical services; serve as the liaison within the organization to ensure the off-site locations are represented and recognized; and partner with departmental peers to develop, implement and manage the operational aspects of the annual budget.

Responsibilities:The Site Supervisor supports, communicates, implements and enforces the mission, values, standards, policies and procedures of Nationwide Children's Hospital division of Behavioral Health Services.
1. Direct all technical and administrative aspects of the maintenance, housekeeping, landscaping, etc. for assigned Behavioral Health facilities.
- Identify and coordinate maintenance and repairs to facilities, ensuring all buildings are safe and well kept.
- Initiate, plan and implement changes to the operational flow of the building including the implementation of new technology.
- Manage site services, including but not limited to security, maintenance, cleaning, waste disposal, biohazard, landscaping, alarm systems, information services, telecommunications, pest control, material management, etc.
2. Plan and direct the activities within assigned Behavioral Health facilities in order to achieve the targets and standards for access to care, quality, culture and regulatory adherence.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe, comfortable, and professional environment for patients, families and staff.
3. Coordinate with other Nationwide Children's Hospital departments to ensure the provision of clinical and administrative services at the Behavioral Health Centers.
- Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of support services to help improve coordination and communication between departments.
- Assist in the planning, implementation and outcomes of organizationally and leadership initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
4. Recruit, hire, train, and supervise registration/clerical personnel at assigned Behavioral Health facilities to ensure efficient and effective administrative services and exceptional customer service.
- Conduct required performance evaluations for staff, contractors and volunteers, and address performance related issues as necessary.
- Identify staff training/educational needs and opportunities.
5. Manage operational budgets for assigned Behavioral Health Centers
- Set parameters and negotiate external vendor contracts.
- Responsible for Time and Attendance functions and developing effective processes for tracking of PTO/STD and FML; responsible to communicate sensitive time and attendance information to the appropriate supervisor
- Oversee and trains staff on Kronos payroll entry for assigned programs
- Ensure that Accounting Department requests are resolved and communicated in a timely manner to internal and external parties.
6. Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (i.e., JCAHO) as well as statutory regulations (i.e., HIPAA, EMTALA).
7. Evaluate the preventive maintenance, safety and security programs of the facilities; and ensure these programs meet the needs of providers and patients.
8. Responsible for assigned Centers on a 24 hour basis to ensure the safety of patients and staff, as well as, the overall physical plant.
9. Foster, monitor and implement the concept of quality improvement. Designs new processes, collects and measures data, review and report performance and redesign based on evaluation.
10. Participates on program leadership team and other committees as deemed appropriate by Director
11. Supports the mission, goals and philosophy of the Service Line and NCH
12. Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Director, Behavioral Health
Supervises: 10-20 support staff
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work/education experience with two or more years of direct experience and management/sales. Master's Degree preferred -- MBA, MHA, etc.
- Effective as a Manager/Leader of staff.
- Outstanding Customer Service principles.
- Ability to organize and supervise the work of subordinates.
- Ability to effectively manage budgets.
- Ability to supervise maintenance projects.
- Proficient with various business software.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to see, hear, speak, read, and perform manual tasks with or without accommodation and care for oneself, with little or no difficulty.
