Behavioral Health Outpatient Counselor - Full Time

As our full-time BHO Counselor with our Adult Outpatient Services Program located on Garner Rd in Raleigh, you will provide clinical services including group, family, and/or individual therapy, community support, and clinical evaluations for services.
Schedule
Flexible! We can accommodate 5, 8-hour shifts or 4, 10-hour shifts. The goal is for clinicians to bill for 25 hours of clinical services each week.
Hybrid and fully remote options available!
Pay
Starting rate for this role is between $47,000 - $52,000 per year, based on experience and licensure.

Full-time employees are eligible for medical benefits the first of the month 30 days after hire date. Options for a standard plan and an HSA plan with a $300 initial contribution and up to a $25 per paycheck match. 10 paid holidays and PTO hours which accrue at a rate of 10 hours per month. After 6 months employees are eligible to enroll in our 401(k) plan which has a 4% match. Company paid life insurance, short and long term disability, in house and paid training opportunities, and additional pay for working holidays.
Job Responsibilities of a Behavioral Health Outpatient Counselor
- Provide clinical services - group, family, and/or individual therapy, community support, and clinical evaluations for services
- Maintain client records - treatment planning, PCP, clinical psychosocial assessments and service notes
- Complete documentation for authorizations for MCO funding, Medicaid, and 3rd party billing in timely manner
- Identify resources and provide support for clients
- Participate in clinical supervision and team meetings
- Pursue staff development opportunities such as continuing education to obtain licensure
- Availability to provide SAIOP services occasionally, as needed
- Participate in crisis phone rotation (approx. 1-2 times per year)
Qualifications of a Behavioral Health Outpatient Counselor
Education and Experience
- Master's Degree in a Human Services field
Licensure/Certifications
- Licensed (fully or provisionally) to practice clinically (e.g., LCAS, LMFT, LPC, LCSW) - LCSW preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Clinical experience working with groups, individuals, and/or families suffering from mental health disorders and/or substance use disorders
- Experience with dual diagnosis addictions and/or substance dependence/abuse and DSM-V model
- Knowledgeable and skilled in the 12 Core Functions
- Experience with electronic medical records
- Ability to speak Spanish is a plus, but not required
