GENERAL SUMMARY
The Resident Assistant is a member of Recovery Campus Team at Brighton Creek under the Behavioral Health Program. This position is responsible for aiding the transitional living program residents and performs the day-to-day activities necessary to ensure that the recovery houses are safe and up to code. This position reports to the Recovery House Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities are the basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform. - Assist with care and maintenance of recovery house.
- Assist with acquiring, maintaining, and managing food, clothes and other donated supplies.
- Assist with facilitation of recovery house meetings.
- Attend weekly case staffing's.
- Attend staff meetings to provide input regarding client services provision.
- Represent agency through participation in community groups as directed by supervisor.
- Provide client transportation as requested by supervisor.
- Assist with researching and obtaining community resources.
- Maintain records/files, documentation as requested.
- Provide community education as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Graduation or GED
- Valid Washington State driver's license and be insurable under the Nisqually Indian Tribe's insurance policy.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis and fulfill general housekeeping duties.
- Must be willing to follow agency policies and procedures at all times.
- Must have a professional attitude and be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently as well as have the ability and willingness to take and follow directions
- Good organizational skills and proficiency at following through with assigned duties.
- Good communication skills (oral and written).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's Degree
- One year experience working in Behavioral Health Field.
- Experience working with Tribes and Native Communities.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS
Authorize and complete a background check prior to employment. Pass pre-employment drug screen. Ability to obtain CPR certification within 90 days of employment.

This position does not supervise.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary responsibilities of this job.
Moderate to light physical activity both indoors and outdoors. Must be able to operate a personal computer and related office equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
