Job Summary:
The Bellman is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by assisting with luggage, providing information, and ensuring a welcoming and efficient arrival and departure experience. This role involves close interaction with guests, requiring a high level of customer service, professionalism, and the ability to anticipate and meet guests' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Services
- Greet guests upon arrival and departure, offering assistance with luggage and personal items.
- Escort guests to their rooms and explain room features, hotel services, and amenities.
- Provide information about local attractions, hotel facilities, and services.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
- Luggage Handling:
- Assist guests with the loading and unloading of luggage from vehicles.
- Transport luggage to and from guest rooms efficiently and safely.
- Store and retrieve luggage and other personal items as requested.
- Valet Services:
- Assist with parking and retrieving guest vehicles when necessary.
- Ensure the safe and efficient handling of guest vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle locations and keys.
- Lobby and Public Area Maintenance:
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the hotel lobby, entrance, and public areas.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down meeting rooms and event spaces as needed.
- Ensure that the bell desk and luggage storage areas are tidy and organized.
- Security and Safety:
- Monitor and report any suspicious activities or security concerns to management.
- Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures.
- Assist in emergency situations, following established protocols.
- Communication and Teamwork:
- Communicate effectively with front office staff, housekeeping, and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions as required.
- Provide support to other team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is an asset.
- Experience with luggage handling and valet services is a plus.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods.
- Familiarity with the local area and attractions.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Working Conditions:
- Indoor and outdoor environments with varying temperatures.
- Exposure to high traffic areas and potential for frequent interruptions.
