Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Bench Pharmacist to join our team in Richmond, Rhode Island. This role is crucial for providing routine and emergency drug screening, processing, and dispensing services, ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of pharmaceutical care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed site budgets by leveraging operating policies and procedures to ensure operational excellence.
- Serve as the primary owner for Band III accounts and facility owner for Band I and II accounts in your assigned geography.
- Drive organic growth and mitigate risks within existing customer relationships.
- Negotiate and finalize customer contracts in collaboration with regional leadership.
- Collaborate with Sales to promote deal closures and drive growth.
- Work closely with Account Management, Sales, Consultant Pharmacists, and corporate functions to meet overall site goals.
- Regularly evaluate operational results and report findings to the General Manager (GM) or Vice President of Operations (VPO).
- Ensure all activities comply with state and federal regulations governing pharmacy operations.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information and property.
- Understand and adhere to Customer Pharmacy Services and Omnicare policies and procedures.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to employees, fostering their development and career growth.
- Cultivate a talent pool to ensure succession planning and recognize employee achievements.
- May require sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and walking intermittently throughout the day.
- May involve sitting or standing for 7 to 10 hours per day.
- Current license to practice pharmacy in good standing.
- Proficient in clinical interpretation of drug interactions and allergies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Familiarity with long-term care regulations (OBRA, OSHA, state, and federal laws) impacting pharmacy operations.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.
- Must be available during pharmacy hours of operation.
This position is patient-facing and requires onsite presence as needed.
