Our client, a world-leading Pharmaceutical Company in Cambridge, MA is currently looking for a Associate Scientist to join their expanding team.
Job Title: Associate Scientist / Protein Purification
Duration: 18 months contract, extendable up to 36 months
Location: Cambridge, MA

Job Description:
Bench Scientist
Summary:
As a Bench Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting various protein labeling, purification, and quality control tasks.
Your role will involve working with target proteins, mAb/Fab, and commercially sourced reagents to ensure high-quality final products.
Additionally, you will provide support for western blots and expression characterization activities.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine protein labeling and final characterization (target proteins and mAb/Fab, labeling, all labels including fluors, biotin, etc.)
Conduct fab generation from IgG
Perform protein purifications
Quality control of commercially sourced reagents
Provide assistance/backup for weekly western blots and expression characterization
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
A minimum of 0-3+ years of related experience
Experience with purifying expressed proteins
Strong work ethic and a desire to learn
Experience labeling proteins is a plus
Experience with AKTA FPLC and Agilent HPLC is a plus
Experience with antibodies is preferred
