Recursion is currently seeking a Benefits Administrator (Contractor) who will play a critical role in supporting our team in the US, Canada, and the UK, by managing benefits programs and providing exceptional service to our employees. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about delivering a positive employee experience.

The Impact You’ll Make

• Administers and communicates the company's benefits program in regard to plan options, policy features, enrollment and other requirements.
• Overall day-to-day benefits activities in the US, Canada and UK include:
• Benefits Data Maintenance
• Benefits Offboarding
• Benefits Onboarding
• Payroll Benefits Deductions
• Benefits Billing
• Leaves
• Retirement plans
• Unemployment claims
• Respond to daily inquiries from employees
• Maintain existing vendor relationships
• Make recommendations for improvements and enhancements to current processes
• Surveys market data in order to determine company’s competitive position in employee benefits
• May assist in planning, developing, and redesigning company benefits programs and analyzing benefit costs
• May be involved with communication and implementation of wellness and health awareness initiatives
• Ensures company compliance with federal and state laws

The Team You’ll Join

This position is part of the People team, reporting to the Head of Total Rewards and Systems. Our Total Rewards and Systems teams focus on and are responsible for designing, maintaining, and implementing Recursion’s overall Total Rewards strategy to attract and retain top talent.

The Experience You’ll Need

• 2+ years of progressive experience in employee benefits, preferably in a biotech, life sciences or technology environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR Management, related field, or related experience.
