About the Job
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company's employee benefits programs to ensure accuracy of eligibility, enrollment, and compliance.
- Serve as the primary contact for all health and welfare benefit plan questions and inquiries.
- Respond to inquiries regarding eligibility, coverage, claims, and billing in a timely and professional manner.
- Serve as a liaison between the company and the insurance carriers/vendors to resolve claims issues.
- Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of benefits enrollments through audits of system data, review of data file feedback reports.
- Ensuring COBRA eligibility notices and enrollments are completed by the third-party vendor for compliance.
- Responsible for maintaining up-to-date benefits information on plan documentation, FAQs, and forms in folders and intranet site.
- Assist with annual open enrollment initiatives, including communications, processes, and process documents.
- Assist employees with access to benefit systems, including password resets.
- Prepare analysis and census data for benefits reporting using Excel.
- Analyze data and make recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of benefit programs.
- Maintain knowledge of current benefit laws and regulation (e.g., COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, etc.) and ensure compliance of plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in benefits administration with a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; or advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience. Experience with benefits systems and Excel. Experience with Sharepoint a plus.

- Good understanding of benefit plans, systems, and data.

- Strong organization.
- Familiar with Cobra, HIPAA, and other regulations.
Working Conditions
Works in a professional office or work from home environment. Routinely uses computer and attends virtual meetings. Will have access to sensitive and confidential information and will exercise discretion when dealing with this type of data. Will work with deadlines and multiple tasks simultaneously. At times, will have a large volume of emails to review and respond to. Works independently with general supervision.

The position will serve as the initial and primary contact for a wide range of company benefits related inquiries regarding enrollment, eligibility, claims, and other benefits related inquiries. Support enrollment into benefit plans and will support annual US benefits open enrollment activities for all US locations. Will provide ongoing support to Human Resources Business Partners across the US and employees to investigate issues, resolve issues, and answer questions. Will address non-routine problems between our benefit systems and carrier data files. Data integrity is a key area where this position will have a major impact and will require a good understanding of the benefits, benefit systems and how data translates to the insurance carriers, to be successful.
