Summary- The Benefits Technology Assistant is an essential member of the Benefits Technology team, responsible for the implementation and maintenance of our benefits administration system. In this role, you will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless and efficient operations.

- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interface with internal team members and clients to gather requirements and update appropriate documentation.
- Assist with configuration testing and data audits.
- Prepare and update tech profiles, test plans, and file feed trackers.
- Triage, research, and respond to complex benefit administration setup issues such as eligibility, calculation errors, and service deliverability.
- Assist in preparing manual enrollment templates.
- Manage new file feed builds with vendors and carriers for new plans/carriers and ensure process completion (live file feeds) whether weekly updates.
- Research and resolve file feed discrepancies during the testing period and ongoing production issues, including EDI file feeds.
- Manage follow up for open enrollment and ongoing production file feeds.
- Create and manage project management plans, assign ownership, and drive results.
- Manage projects effectively in an ongoing environment, prioritizing work and multitasking on several projects simultaneously.
- Back up and help the team with front desk (answering phones), helping clear backlog, training new hires, and taking on projects at the request of your manager.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in employee benefits, specifically in clerical or customer service roles.
- Experience in Benefits administration systems preferred.
- A valid Life and Health Insurance License is preferred. If not currently licensed, the ability to obtain the license within 60 days of employment is required.
- Have the ability and willingness to attain insurance certifications within 18 months of hire.
- Develop excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on building and nurturing strong client relationships.
- Proficiency in formulating comprehensive plans and innovative solutions, coupled with the proactive initiative to implement them and assume accountability for their results.
- Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and carrier partners to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced expertise in Excel for comprehensive data analysis.
- Proficiency in orchestrating and hosting virtual meetings using platforms like Teams and Zoom, encompassing the capability to share screens and deliver presentations (e.g., PowerPoint, Proposals, etc.).
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform computer related tasks.
- Must have the ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Occasional bending, reaching, and stretching to retrieve files or items from shelves or cabinets.
- Ability to operate office equipment such as photocopiers, scanners, and printers.

Work Environment
- Hybrid work model, with two to three days in office and the remainder of the work week working remotely.
- Remote work to be done in a professional work environment at home.
