Description:
At Bama, the Production Supervisor is expected to understand, engage and lead their production team, making safe product while controlling direct costs, meeting customer expectations, and ensuring a safe work environment and practices. Success is all about building effective relationships that result in engaged work teams continuously improving their work environment. The Production Supervisor, as well as all team members, consistently contributes to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and Bama team contributions to achieve desired business results.
The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in the company and the plant management's effectiveness by consistent and fair application of policies and practices, modeling & coaching EQ (Emotional Quotient) principles. Qualifications:
- Knowledge of and experience in manufacturing normally achieved by a minimum of three to five years production leadership experience
- Demonstrated reasoning ability and critical thinking skills to resolve production and personnel problems.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control to continuously reduce variation in systems
- Proven skill and effectiveness in interpersonal relations with the ability to plan and facilitate the accomplishments of desired results through people
- Associates degree
- Proven ability to coach work team members in personal and team development
- Proficient in basic computer applications (i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel)
