Job Description
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. This position requires a strong analytical background combined with expertise in Power BI to develop and maintain robust reporting solutions that support various departments across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide real-time insights into manufacturing processes, material inventory, production efficiency, and business operations.
- Work closely with IT and OT (Operational Technology) teams to integrate data from various sources, including IoT sensors, ERP systems, and other information sources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing engineers, procurement, and supply chain, to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and create data models that support root cause analysis and decision-making.
- Develop predictive models using Power BI and other tools to forecast material demand, production capacity, and maintenance needs.
- Participate in developing data governance policies, ensuring adherence to data security and privacy regulations, particularly for sensitive manufacturing and material formulation data.
- Contribute to creating a data-driven culture by advocating for evidence-based decision-making across the organization, from the shop floor to the executive suite.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics roles, preferably in manufacturing or materials science industries
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI
- Experience with Azure and building analytical assets with Microsoft Data Lake
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation
- Experience with data visualization techniques and best practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data to non-technical audiences
- Understanding of IoT and industrial automation concepts
