BI Architect - Cullerton Group

Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a BI Architect in North Chicago, IL. The work will be done onsite a 1 day a week. The rest will be work-from-home. This is a long term, project-based contract. Compensation is $125/hr. 
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Architect to lead a strategic project for a global pharmaceutical company. The focus of this project is to assess and potentially migrate their BI platform from Datorama to Power BI. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in BI architecture, particularly with large volumes of marketing data in the life sciences industry, and a strong track record of successful platform migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide an in-depth assessment of the current BI architecture, including reporting capabilities, data aggregation processes, and security protocols.
• Lead the evaluation of Datorama and Power BI, focusing on the needs and scalability for marketing data in the life sciences sector.
• Develop and present a comprehensive business case for migrating from Datorama to Power BI, including cost-benefit analysis and ROI projections.
• Create a detailed project roadmap for the migration, outlining key milestones, resource requirements, and timelines.
• Ensure data integrity and security compliance throughout the migration process, aligning with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, marketing, and IT security, to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business goals.
• Provide strategic recommendations on BI reporting best practices, performance optimization, and scalability within Power BI.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence architecture, with specific experience in life sciences and marketing data.
• Proven experience leading BI platform migrations, particularly from Datorama to Power BI, or similar projects.
• Expertise in BI tools, data warehousing, ETL processes, and data aggregation.
• Strong knowledge of data security and compliance, particularly in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors.
• Ability to build and communicate a strong business case for strategic technology decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in senior consulting roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s preferred.
