BI Infrastructure Engineer - REMOTE
Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours. Core hours 8am-5pm CT.
*Once every 7-weeks is an on-call rotation that includes weekend hours.
This role will be responsible for the architecture, engineering and support of the Enterprise BI application environments at Client. This is a multitasking role and the position is expected to support multiple BI development and operations teams as well as a large and diverse application user community. Participation in oncall rotation is required. The successful applicant will have experience with and be comfortable providing:

This role will be responsible for the architecture, engineering and support of the Enterprise BI application environments at Client. This is a multitasking role and the position is expected to support multiple BI development and operations teams as well as a large and diverse application user community. Participation in oncall rotation is required. The successful applicant will have experience with and be comfortable providing:
- Lead the design, analysis, development and implementation of engineering infrastructure solutions for projects that will ensure high availability and low application latency for various BI suite services
- Conduct risks assessments, partner on capacity planning, and the diagnosis and correction of application/network problems.
- Exercise considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives.
- Focus on providing thought leadership within Infrastructure Engineering but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business and business needs.
- Plan, research, evaluate, design and develop complex network systems by applying engineering, hardware and software design theories and principles to develop a compatible system infrastructure in line with organization strategies.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science PREFERRED or a related discipline and at least six, typically eight or more years’ experience in all phases of BI Infrastructure & Administration support, or equivalent in education and work experience.
- Advanced knowledge of/experience with various BI Product Suite (BI Server / Web Portal / Data Store, Desktop Clients)
- Advanced level proficiency in system/application administration
- Advanced troubleshooting (ability to think outside of box) and advanced shell scripting for databases if needed (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata)
- Experience working with reporting and data analysis software (i.e. building reports, dashboards; etc)
- Knowledge of various reporting platforms and cross platform technology concepts
- BI Infrastructure Support – Installs, Upgrades, Patches, Migration, Disaster recovery planning; etc
- Strong ability to manage, install, and administer BOBJ environments, including creating tools to monitor BOBJ utilization
- Experience with SAP B2B tools such as HANA and authentication tools such as OKTA
- Ability to create and support custom .NET SDK VB/JSP scripts
- Ability to support event driven job scheduling (internal or external)
- Ability to write and troubleshoot custom BOE reports and universes
- Experience with SSRS, PowerBI and the Cognos analytics suite.
- Participation in 24x7 oncall rotation for multiple windows based BI tools
- BI Architecture Experience

- Diversified IT experience including a spectrum of hardware, software, operating systems, and networking skills
