Bi-lingual Spanish/English Maintenance Technician - Aven Realty

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Technician to oversee a team of in a residential apartment property. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in plumbing and electrical work and speak Spanish. The Maintenance Manager will ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards, providing a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of four maintenance technicians.
• Schedule and oversee daily maintenance operations, including repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Perform hands-on maintenance tasks, particularly in plumbing and electrical areas, as needed.
• Ensure all maintenance requests and issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff to develop their skills and knowledge.
• Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and order new supplies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with property management to prioritize maintenance tasks and projects.
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations as required.
• Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance needs.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in maintenance management or a similar role.
• Strong background in plumbing and electrical work.
• Conversational Spanish skills are required.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in maintenance-related fields is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods.
