The right candidate will have the opportunity to help grow the business intelligence department within Overdrive Interactive by bringing forward an expertise in the strategy and implementation of data-driven storytelling for our wide array of clients
They will help lead and grow a team of developers and engineers as we expand our offerings into the future.ResponsibilitiesWork with stakeholders in multiple departments to define a long-term vision to expand a multi-tiered offering from conception to deployment and measurementWork with potential and current clients to understand, anticipate, and respond to current and future BI requirementsLead a small, agile team of engineers and 3rd party development partnersContribute to process improvement initiatives and identify requirements for enhancements to existing systemsOwnership of relationships with key external 3rd party vendors, consultants, and engineering firmsEvaluate and implement emerging technologies that have a positive impact on the analytics teamAssist in implementing BI apps and tool setsTranslate business needs to technical specifications and documentationWork with your team to design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g., reporting tools)Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g., SiSense, Power BI, Tableau)Support the build out of the Data Warehouse as well as Data MartsCreate and oversee the creation of tools to store data (e.g., Supermetrics, Five Tran)Oversee and assist in unit testing and troubleshootingEvaluate and improve existing BI systemsCollaborate with teams to integrate systemsPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of creating physical and logical models in assisting data warehousing (Big Query, Snowflake)Setting standards and best practicesDesign and assist in deployment of solutions that are documented, scalable and easily maintainedMinimum of 5 years in Data Modeling tools and practices6 years’ experience with BI / Data Visualization tools (Power BI, SiSense, Tableau, Google Data Studio)Excellent to expert with ETL toolsExperience with embedding analytics & UI/UX a plusAdvanced knowledge of SQLStrong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills.BenefitsHealth and Dental insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributionFlexible spending accounts including commuter and childcare benefitsVision care discountsPaid vacation and holidaysCompetitive salaryEmployee referral bonusLong term disabilityLife insuranceAccidental death insuranceIndustry trainingFree healthy snacks, coffee, and teasContemporary open-loft office spaceFun parties and office culturePlease include salary requirements with all responses
