We now have a national and international presence spanning coast to coast, including U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and now, Puerto Rico. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.
We are seeking a Communication Foreman - BICSI certified to join our Electrical Self-Perform team for construction projects based in Jacksonville, FL with travel to other project locations like GTMO.
This position is responsible for the planning, installation coordination and documentation/reporting of the voice/data/telecommunications network and associated components of a construction project. Also includes daily supervision, direction, and coordination of assigned construction crews to safely produce quality work, within project requirements, targeted budget, schedule, and in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.
Pay $30.00 - $35.00 H, DOE
Compensation is based on specific project location AND WILL FOLLOW DAVIS BACON PREVAILING WAGE REQUIREMENTS, WHICH VARY FROM MILITARY BASE TO MILITARY BASE. The hourly range is approximately $30.00-$35.00hr, eligible for overtime. Hours per week average 40-50hrs.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or GED is the preferred minimum formal education for this position.
- College Courses in Construction Management, Engineering, etc. preferred
- BICSI Certifications Required:
- Installer 1 - Basic Training
- Installer 2 - Copper INSTC Cert
- Installer 2 - Fiber INSTF Cert
- Technician - Technician Cert
- Two or more years work experience in a Foreman position (e.g., scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production of all phases in construction), over electrical/communications trades on medium or large projects is required. Foreman experience in multiple trades (e.g. concrete, framing/drywall, earthwork and MEP trades) is a plus.
- Three or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience is in the construction industry highly desirable; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred. Work in the design-build industry is preferred.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) preferred. Training can be provided.
- Specific software literacy (Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, Revit) preferred. Training can be provided.
- CPR, First Aid Certification required; OSHA 30-hour Certification and EM-385 preferred; Training can be provided.
