Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee and lead our complex commercial construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction and a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to determine project specifications and requirements
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases
- Manage project budgets, including cost estimating, tracking expenses, and implementing cost-control measures
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors and subcontractors to reach profitable agreements
- Obtain necessary permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
- Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors, laborers, and other construction professionals
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and quality control standards
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues
- Prepare and present detailed project status reports to leadership and clients
- Resolve conflicts and address problems that arise during the construction process
- Manage the transition from project completion to client occupancy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commercial construction project management
- Experience building ground up big box, tilt wall, or Targets is needed
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale commercial construction projects
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and industry standards
- Strong understanding of project management principles and practices
