Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Research, recommend and champion technology solutions for the enterprise Data Lake ecosystem
- Serve as the lead architect and expert for big data platform architecture and solutions
- Envision solution architecture and advises as to how technologies can be exploited to improve the performance of the entire technology landscape
- Understand and apply industry best practices, including business process models, information assets, business terms, conceptual and logical data models, and data lineage
- Design scalable Big Data architecture solutions for various application needs
- Drive solution based on tools and technologies available within the enterprise data & analytics ecosystem
- Implement some or all of the Big Data systems in distributed cloud environments
- Provide breadth and depth of knowledge across heterogeneous data environment
- Work closely with customers, at a technical and user level, to design and produce solutions
- Deliver consulting services with a high degree of client and account team satisfaction
- Responsible for ensuring the architecture design from the source systems will meet the needs of the BI solution
- Spend about 60% of your time on research, presentations and recommendations and about 40% with outside BI enterprise architects getting an understanding of the other business applications across domains
Qualifications:
- 10+ years implementation experience with demonstrated integration expertise in several business and technical verticals
- 8+ years of experience in software development / engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution
- 5+ years of experience as Big Data Architect Expertise building Big Data solutions (using Hadoop technologies)
- Expertise with MPP DBs & exposure to DWH (Mandatorily) & knowledge dimensional modeling techniques
- Business processes and enterprise business applications experience across domains
