Your specific duties will include:
- Responsible for contacting customers who are delinquent in their payment schedule to negotiate a payment plan.
- Responsible for reviewing each account to determine the best way to approach the customer, and then executing their plan to bring in the maximum amount of revenue.
- Initiates communication with customers (both on the phone and one-on-one) to negotiate a payment plan for past-due loans and resolve delinquent accounts
- Works closely with the Corporate Account Resolution Specialist for collectible cases, Chapters 13 and 7 Bankruptcies, reaffirmations, repossession, etc.
- Represents in Bankruptcy Court with the assistance and direction of the Manager of Corporate Compliance.
- Maintains compliance with industry regulations to include the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Dodd-Frank Act, and other federal and state regulations.
- Strong communication & negotiation skills.
- A minimum of 2-5 years of back-end or recovery collections at another auto-finance company with a track record of success!
- Superior skip-tracing skills, and be familiar with standard skip-tracing tools.
- Ability to effectively handle difficult customer issues.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with customers and co-workers.
