Bilingual Global Sourcing Manager
(frozen fruit & vegetables, Santa Cruz, CA area, onsite, relocation assistance)

We seek a Bilingual Global Sourcing Manager to join our Supply team in our headquarters. The Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for fostering growth by identifying and developing opportunities with new suppliers and creating and advancing new initiatives with existing suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Management / Program Development
· Develops and advances trusting relationships with decision-makers at key suppliers.
- Leads annual demand planning process per commodity to promote opportunities and sales.
- Evaluates risks and make internal recommendations regarding payments or payment holds.
- Provides packaging development support to Strategic Supply Managers; seeks efficiencies and negotiates payment terms.
· Effectively works with and mentors Supply Account Managers assigned to mutual supplier accounts.
Developing New Key Suppliers and Products
· Fields inquiries from new suppliers qualify suppliers for commercial viability and lead the supplier approval process.
- Creates plans, budgets, and deliverables for obtaining supplier/product approvals and evaluates and proposes investment and support opportunities with new suppliers.
- Provides supply options and pricing for sales, market, and R&D opportunities.
· Negotiates supplier contracts.
Market Engagement and Education
· Understands and analyzes global markets per commodity and region to assess opportunities to maximize sales growth.
- Reviews trade intelligence data to identify and engage relevant supply; understands competitors’ landscape.
- Serves as subject matter expert regarding seasons per commodity and shares crop statuses with teams, including product availability and constrictions.
- Provides content for quarterly Business & Crop Highlights report distributed to customers.
· Represents the company at trade shows and customer/supplier visits.
Required Skills and Experience:
· 8+ years related supplier management and development experience within the fruits and/or vegetables space; frozen experience preferred
- B.S. in International Business, Agribusiness, Supply Chain Management, or related field; additional relevant experience considered in lieu of education
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Well organized, self-starter with the ability to multitask and work effectively with conflicting priorities and changing deadlines
- Skilled problem solver, solid judgment, and the ability to make sound data-based decisions
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities with strong team spirit; good sense of humor a plus
· This position requires up to 20% travel domestically and internationally
Compensation and Benefits:
The target hiring range for this position is: $100,000 - $130,000 per year. Compensation is based on a variety of relevant factors, including prior work experience, skills, professional qualifications, and internal pay equity.
