PURPOSE:
The Habilitation Support Supervisor (HSS) will provide consultative services to individuals and their families receiving habilitation. The HSS will be part of a collaborative team consisting of HAH Specialists, parents/caregivers, habilitation providers, Support Coordinators, and Area Managers/Supervisors. The HSS will provide direct support to members and/or their families in their own homes and community settings according to all regulations and policies related to Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) and other regulatory agencies. The HSS will oversee the HAH Support team's daily operations, including all activities relating to training and consults. The HSS will report to the Director of Support Services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- State of AZ Prevention and Support Training
- State of AZ Article 9 Training
- Intro to DDD
- Two years' experience providing habilitation direct support services or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Satisfactory background check
- Able to acquire a DPS fingerprint clearance card
- Bilingual in English and Spanish languages
PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in education, special education, child development, psychology, behavior analysis, social work, or counseling in addition to two (2) years of full-time experience in habilitation services, behavioral therapy, or behavior analysis
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Observe and assist Specialist on coaching habilitation providers and parents/caregivers in implementing habilitation program goals and the teaching of target skills as intended through the designated teaching strategies
- Conduct monthly performance reviews of Specialists
- Assist with preparation for ISP meeting, complete goal review and prepare documents to be presented at the meeting including habilitation goals and teaching strategies
- Assist in acquiring, retaining, and improving the self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills necessary to reside successfully in home and community-based settings
- Update program goals in Spoke Choice and review data
- Model programs with the Specialists and member in independent living skills or self-help, socialization, adaptive skills, and behavioral management
- Maintain Specialists schedules and HAH class schedules
- Oversee habilitation training classes at various ACS office locations and online
- Collaborate with habilitation specialists, providers, parents, and area manager/supervisor to ensure effective implementation of habilitation goals and strategies
- Manage internships and RBT candidates
- Maintain a consistent schedule with family, demonstrating reliability and
- Demonstrate respect and promote choice
- Promote the rights of people receiving support and contribute to an environment free of abuse, neglect, or exploitation
- Maintain all records, logs, and other documentation as required by ISP, plan of care, funding source requirements, and Company policy and procedure
- Act as an appropriate role model
- Ensure that a clean and safe environment free from abuse, intimidation, and harassment is maintained
- Quickly and effectively respond to emergency situations such as fire, application of CPR and First Aid, and behavioral interventions
- Maintain all training and certifications as required by Funding source and/or Company policies and procedures
WORK ENVIROMENT:
- This job operates as a remote tele-work position occasionally, as Arion Care Solutions does not provide a separate workplace at a corporate location. Working from home requires a high degree of discipline and the ability to have a space dedicated to work in the home and provision for childcare if necessary
