Summary:
Designs, implements, and monitors a variety of Human Resource (HR) programs. Anticipates and plans for long-term HR needs and trends in partnership with business management. Responsibilities are within the HR Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.
Major Position Responsibilities:
- Supports the organization by implementing and administering human resources programs or policies
- Implements human resources programs by providing HR services, which may include recruiting and staffing, administration of compensation and benefits programs, training and development, employee or labor relations, and affirmative action/equal employment opportunity compliance
- Completes personnel transactions and maintains associated records
- Collects and analyzes internal and external information in order to compare the organizations HR practices to those prevailing in the market
- Ensures compliance with applicable labor laws or regulations
- May also have responsibility for:
- Training/ Development including:
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating employee development plans and programs to support organizational needs such as management development, talent management, succession planning, technical or nontechnical training, or e-learning
- Monitors employee development and training programs, assesses needs and results, develops new programs, modifies existing programs and facilitates programs

- Develops and evaluates wellness programs to support employees’ physical, emotional, social and/or financial wellbeing

- Collaborates and provides guidance on all issues of employment compliance related to the organization's human capital
- Monitors compliance issues and implications concerned with discrimination, sexual harassment, health and safety, hiring and firing, as well as all other aspects of employee rights and responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and evaluates diversity/equal employment opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action programs to ensure compliance with government legislation and organization goals
- Provides training and coaching for employees and managers on diversity issues
- Determines the efficiency and effectiveness of the EEO data system
- Recommends improvements in recruitment and employee programs to ensure compliance with diversity/EEO goals and regulations

Basic Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree
- OR equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
- 2-4 years experience relevant to the positions functional area
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Human Resources or Business Administration
- HR experience with companies supporting 500 or more employees in a manufacturing environment, including multi-shift organizations
- Bilingual - fluent in Spanish, written and verbal
- Human Resources Certifications PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, and/or SHRM-SCP
- Experience using Talent Acquisition systems (i.e. iCIMS), HRIS systems (i.e. PeopleSoft), and/or Learning Management Systems
- Proficient in MS Office 365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Sharepoint))
- Previous work with universities and/or technical schools to support and develop workforce pipelines
- Experience with Worker’s Comp / OSHA reporting
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong computer skills, administrative data control, scheduling and team interface
- Looks for ways to improve and promote operational excellence and partner with Operations leadership
- Must be able to possess strong, planning, execution and multitasking skills and have demonstrated ability to re-prioritize and quickly adapt to changes
- Must be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines

Other Requirements:
- Must be willing to work flexible hours when needed
- Willingness and ability to support three (3) area locations
- Professional demeanor and presentation skills for frequent meetings, presentations, and site visits
- Experience with regulatory strategy and reporting, including AAP, I-9, EEO, Pre-Employment process, OFCCP, FLMA, FLSA, and EEOC requirements
