SAVARD is currently seeking a Bilingual Inventory Control Clerk in/near Houston, TX for Job #20392.
Job Summary: The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, tracking stock movements, and ensuring that supplies and materials are properly stored, organized, and accounted for. This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational efficiency by managing stock levels, identifying discrepancies, and coordinating with various departments to ensure timely replenishment of goods. The Inventory Control Clerk will use inventory management software, perform routine audits, and support the overall inventory control process.
Job Scope/Duties:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory transactions in the inventory management system.
Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy.
Track and monitor incoming and outgoing shipments to verify the accuracy of quantities received or shipped.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure timely restocking of low inventory items.
Organize and maintain stock locations to ensure materials are easily accessible and properly labeled.
Assist in the implementation of inventory control policies and procedures to improve accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
Prepare inventory reports for management, including stock levels, reorder needs, and inventory discrepancies.
Coordinate with suppliers to track back orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Ensure inventory is stored in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Experience Required:
4-5 years of experience in Inventory Control, Logistics, or Warehouse Management.
Previous experience in Fabrication/HVAC
Proficiency in using inventory management software
Must have expert level experience in Excel
Sage 100 experience is a plus but not required
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to analyze data and identify trends or discrepancies in stock levels.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Basic knowledge of safety and regulatory guidelines related to inventory storage and handling.
Ability to work independently and be a critical thinker
Other requirements:
Must pass a drug screen and background check
Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
Must have steel toe boots before starting work
Must be able to work OT/Weekends as required
Shift/Hours:
Monday - Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with a 1 hour lunch break
Max 40 hrs a week
Pay Rate:
$17-18 per hour
Up to $720/ week with 40 hrs.
Duration: Temp to Perm
