Hiring Pay Range: $66,500 - $68,500 per year
Job summary:
The Financial Empowerment Manager will provide high-level oversight and participate in strategic program development of FIRC’s Financial Empowerment programming including the Family Development Framework, Promoting Safe and Stable Families, Housing Scholarship Program, the Housing Justice Coalition as well as the Community Emergency Rental Assistance program. The Manager is responsible for budgets, grant requirements, meeting deliverables, direct supervision, and conducting data audits with time sensitive and accurate reporting. The Manager will build a healthy team relationship, will maintain strong community partnerships, and will seek out new partnership opportunities. The Manager directly supervises the Financial Empowerment Caseworkers.

Primary duties:
Uphold FIRC’s Vision, Mission, and values and align all programmatic decision making with agency’s strategic goals
Support and supervise the Financial Empowerment Caseworkers, perform administrative duties including scheduling and booking, managing caseloads and outcomes, timely data entry and audit, strengths-based staff supervision and accountability, timecards and PTO, etc. These leadership needs require the ability to perform the work in-person.
With a lens of equity, incorporate the five domains of Social Determinants of Health (SDoH), the Family Development Framework, prevention ethics, strengths-based motivational interviewing and client directed goal setting into all programming
Oversee the Financial Empowerment team’s financial request process including Direct Emergency Funding (DEF) and communicate regularly with the Finance Team to approve cases and pay vendors
Collaborate with Finance Team, Grant Manager and Sr. Manager of Programs to learn, understand and manage complex budgets to ensure grant deliverables are met
Collaborate with leadership team to enhance program delivery to best serve FIRC families and ensure highest quality of wrap around supports are achieved and internal and external referrals are increased
The Manager is responsible for coordinating and facilitating all aspects of the Housing Justice Coalition while also playing a key part in shaping and advancing the development of committee members (monthly, in the evening)
The Manager will be a community advocate, encouraging individuals and organizations to be actively involved in supporting and uplifting the most vulnerable in our community
Monitor, audit, evaluate and report on client outcomes, current program trends and continuously enhance program delivery and services
Be proactive in enhancing and driving program change depending on agency and community priorities
Responsible for hiring, training and professional development of all team members.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Represent FIRC at community committees, meetings and events while promoting FIRC's mission, vision and values
Plan for, participate in and facilitate conversations for relevant boards, forums, and community meetings to raise awareness about programming and decrease barriers for clients accessing care
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and train and hold staff accountable to expectations
Build and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations and statewide partners
Demonstrate superior time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Model effective communication skills in both leadership and direct service realms
Ensure timely and accurate data is achieved (48 hours), perform regular data audits, and participate in data audit meetings on monthly basis
Coordinate, facilitate and promote successfully lead Financial Empowerment workshops
Field inquiries from landlords, property managers, clients and community partners in a timely fashion
Complete all required training to manage and train applicable staff
Maintain confidentiality and follow all HIPAA laws and regulations
Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements of the position include:
A degree in Social Work, Human Services, Sociology or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
Knowledge and experience in the social services field – and experience in strategic program development, big picture collaboration, and managing large budgets preferred
Effectively demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish required
Two years previous supervisory experience preferred
Knowledge of community resources is preferred
Time management and organizational skills to manage an independent schedule and competing priorities
Ability to utilize technology and multiple databases to track program outcomes
Ability to work in-person. This is not a remote position.
Reliable year-round transportation is required
