Summary: This is a unique opportunity for a clinician looking to gain experience with program management. The Groupwork Coordinator works within the Children’s Mental Health Department.They are responsible for the coordination of all group counseling services within the department, including Project Kidz Talk©, a groupwork program for children who have been sexually abused and their non-offending family members. They also carry a small caseload of clients (ages 3-18) impacted by domestic/intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
Job Responsibilities:
- Recruitment of group members both internally and externally
- Outreach and networking with local service providers
- Referral coordination and case monitoring
- Support group facilitation
- Mental health services including crisis intervention, clinical assessment, individual & family therapy
- Data collection and summary for grant reports
- Coordination with program staff, interns, multi-disciplinary team members
- Supervision of interns
Qualifications:
- Master’s level mental health professional with NY State licensure (i.e., LCSW, LMSW, LCAT, LMFT, LMHC) or eligible for limited permit
- Group counseling knowledge & experience
- Clinical experience with children & families
- Experience working with victims of abuse
- Commitment to a client-centered, strengths-based approach
- Excellent clinical judgment & crisis intervention skills
- Strong organizational, networking, & communication skills
- Experience with program development/management a plus
- Spoken and written fluency in Spanish is preferred
- Must be familiar with the use of a computer, fax machine, copy machine, Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and SharePoint), and Zoom
Hours, Compensation, & Benefits:
- 21-35 hours per week M-F. Evenings until 8pm required.

- Annual salary: $52,000 monolingual/$57,000 bilingual for full-time (35 hours/week)
