General Summary

The Accounting Assistant will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with work experience relevant to this role. They will be able to quickly learn and execute the duties assigned. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. The Accounting Assistant will support the Financial Manager by performing tasks, including but not limited to processing and recording data, preparing reports, ledger reconciliations, Creating data spreadsheets, communicating with corresponding departments, and other duties as needed.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists with compiling financial information and maintaining Month End Closing books, including General Ledger reconciliations.

• Assist in overseeing the general ledger and ensure accurate and timely posting of transactions.

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts.

• Assist with annual audits and the preparation of tax returns.

• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support and analysis.

• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

• Enter key financial transaction data into relevant systems.

• Assists with periodic financial reporting tasks.

• Research, track, and resolve accounting discrepancies and documentation issues.

• Any other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Required qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance

• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, with strong emphasis on Excel.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field experience preferred.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
