About the Job:
Our unique law firm is looking for a detail-oriented and conscientious individual to work within all facets of the billing and collection function. Working with the Finance Director and/or Partners to proactively administer their billing responsibilities, preparation, and processing of timely and high-quality invoices, and monitoring and follow-up on outstanding receivables. Competitive salary and benefits. This position will be located in our Tempe, AZ office.
Responsibilities:
- Perform client billing and collection activities for assigned clients in a timely manner.
- Meet with the Finance Director and/or partners to discuss monthly billing.
- Generate Proformas for Finance Director to review.
- Review Proformas and ensure time entries are in accordance with client policies.
- Edit draft invoices based on Finance Director's/Partners mark-up, in accordance with firm policies/procedures.
- Track status of bills submitted, identify issues, and work to address these issues as they arise.
- Communicate situations as they arise that may require follow-up.
Experience Required:
- 2+ years’ billing/accounting experience in a law firm or medical office.
- MS Office with emphasis on Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize. Detail-oriented and conscientious.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment, as well as independently.
- Ability to adapt well to new assignments and deadlines.
