Job Description:
We are seeking an AR/Billing Manager for our client to lead billing operations and ensure the accurate and timely issuance of invoices. The ideal candidate will manage a team of billing specialists, enhance billing processes, and drive automation initiatives while collaborating with various departments to resolve billing challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily billing operations, including invoicing cycles and customer support, to ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Address and resolve billing discrepancies in a professional manner.
- Lead efforts to automate billing processes and improve efficiency through innovative solutions.
- Establish and maintain best practices for billing procedures to enhance accuracy and speed.
- Monitor team performance against service level agreements and ensure targets are met.
- Provide training and development opportunities for billing staff to improve their skills.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and relevant regulations.
- Analyze data and prepare reports for management review.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in a leadership role within the Order to Cash process.
- Demonstrated experience in billing management and customer portal invoicing systems.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and automation tools is essential.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with a knack for team building.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding communication and customer relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
Additional Details:
- Team Structure: This position supervises a team of 5 billing specialists.
- Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with a hybrid model (in-office Tuesday through Thursday, remote on Monday and Friday).
